ABOUT DUTIES TOWARDS OTHER MUSLIMS

A Muslim has five duties towards another Muslim; to return a salutation, visit the sick, follow funerals, accept an invitation and say 'God have mercy on you' when one sneezes.

Your smiling in your brother’s face is charity; and your exhorting man to virtuous deeds is charity; and your prohibiting the forbidden is charity; and your showing men the road, in the land in which they lose it, is charity; and your assisting the blind is charity.

ABOUT WOMEN

Act kindly towards women, for they were created from a rib and the most crooked part of the rib is its top. If you attempt to straighten it you will break it, if you leave it alone it will remain crooked: so act kindly towards women.

Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good one and it will wipe it out, and behave well towards people.

Shall I not point out to you the best of virtues? It is your doing good to your daughter when she is returned to you having been divorced by her husband.

ABOUT HELPING THE NEEDY
Do not turn away a poor man...even if all you can give is half a date. If you love the poor and bring them near you...Allah will bring you near Him on the Day of Resurrection.

If you spend (to help others), O son of Adam! I [God] shall spend on you

ABOUT WORSHIP
He who seeks repentance (from the Lord) before the rising of the sun from the west (before the Day of Resurrection), Allah turns to him with Mercy.
Paradise is nearer to any of you than the strap of his shoe, and so is the (Hell) Fire.

He who has in his heart as much faith as a grain of mustard seed will not enter hell, and he who has in his heart as much pride as a grain of mustard seed will not enter paradise.

What is Faith? When your good deed pleases you and your evil deed grieves you, you are a believer. What is Sin? When a thing disturbs (the peace of) your heart, give it up.

This world is a prison for the Faithful, but a Paradise for unbelievers.

Can anyone walk through water without wetting his feet? The companions replied, 'No;' Muhammad said, ' Such is the condition of those of the world; they are not safe from sins.'

The Lord doth not regard a prayer in which the heart doth not accompany the body.

O Lord! Keep me alive a poor man, and let me die poor; and raise me amongst the poor.

Whoever loves to meet God, God loves to meet him.

No man has believed perfectly, until he wishes for his brother that which he wishes for himself.

Verily God is more compassionate on His creatures, than this woman on her own child.

ABOUT VALUES IN LIFE

The strong man is not the good wrestler; the strong man is only the one who controls himself when he is angry.

Those who are merciful have mercy shown them by the Compassionate One, if you show mercy to those who are in the earth, He Who is in heaven will show mercy to you.
When one of you becomes angry while standing, he should sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good; otherwise he should lie down.

ABOUT MARRIAGE

When a man marries, he has fulfilled half of the religion, so let him fear God regarding the remaining half.

A woman may be married by four qualifications: one on account of her money; another, on account of the nobility of her pedigree; another on account of her beauty; the fourth, on account of her virtue. Therefore, look out for a woman who has virtue: but if you do it from any other consideration, your hands be rubbed in dirt.

ABOUT RELATIONS

He is not a perfect performer of the duties of relationship who does good to his relatives as they do good to him. He is perfect who does good to his relatives when they do not do good to him.

ABOUT BEHAVIOUR TO PARENTS

There is no child, a doer of good to his parents, who looks on them with kindness and affection, but God will grant with every look the rewards for an approved pilgrimage.

A man is bound to do good to his parents, although they may have injured him.

ABOUT RELIGIOUS KNOWLEDGE

Convey to other persons none of my words, except those ye know of a surety.

Whoever seeks knowledge and finds it, will get two rewards; one of them the reward for desiring it, and the other for attaining it; therefore, even if he do not attain it, for him is one reward.
